Comet 330-460 is a corrugated element for covering civil and industrial buildings; thanks to its special profile, it has no external fixing point with subsequent elimination of any possible infiltration.
Compared to traditional coverings, its laying technique allows the execution of all the anchoring operations directly from the external part of the covering. The assembly of the Comet 330-460 section, apart from being very easy and quick (as shown in the sequence of drawings marked with the letters A-B-C-D), excludes the utilisation of any accessory (hooks, gaskets etc.) and perfectly fits any kind of underlying structure.
The profile consists in a double rib at the point of junction that ensures its exceptional solidity and guarantees the upper pedestrianisation. The metallic element may expand without damaging the fixing point and the anchoring system of the elements together is studied in such a way that the possible action of the wind, instead of causing damages, strengthens still further the anchoring by giving a greater solidity to the system.
Its lightness, determined by the limited width of the panels (330 and 460 mm.) makes it particularly fit for reconstructions since it can be laid on pre-existent structures without the need to reinforce them. The elements, in the standard widths of 330 and 460 mm., are self-cambered and can be supplied up to 18 m. in length. This excludes junctions with transversal overlapping, allowing to execute coverings with a slope lower than 5%).
